Evangelism/Congregational Life

The Congregational Life and Evangelism Committee encourages First Presbyterian Church members, frequent attendees, and visitors to maintain an active stance within the congregation by participating in the life and worship of the church, and also by developing a heart for serving others.

This committee provides opportunities to welcome visitors to the church and assimilate new members into the life and worship of the church. This committee schedules greeters to be available at the church entrances prior to the regular Sunday Worship Service. We also deliver loaves of fresh bread to visitors. We are currently developing new prayer initiatives which will move us as a body out into the Greenville community to share the love of Christ.

The Congregational Life Committee is responsible for maintaining the church membership roles. The committee contacts inactive members to encourage them to renew their involvement within the church. We also contact members who have moved from the area and encourage them to become actively involved in a church within their new community. This committee is also looking to develop an informational survey that will keep the church in tune with the needs of its members.
