Current Events SUNDAY SCHOOL 2011-2012 The first day
of the new season of Sunday School will be September 11th beginning at
9:30 a.m. Children ages
2 through 3rd grades will meet downstairs to learn about God’s
strength and the life of Jesus Christ.
Jamie Hart will be teaching children ages 2-Kindergarten, and Jackie
Grissetti will be teaching children in grades 1-3. In addition to these teachers, many other
adult volunteers will engage the children in storytelling, crafts, music,
mission topics, and opening activities.
Led by Cathy Petty and Jodi McErlane, children in grades 4th
through 8th will meet in room 202 to study about the power and
importance of prayer. Using Focus on the
Family’s TrueU curriculum, the High School students (grades 9-12) will meet
with Diane and Ben Dawson in the Senior High lounge to discover how to defend
their belief in God. ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL ELECTIVES § ‘God
and Government’ by Charles Colson – Meeting in the ‘Men’s Den,’ with leadership from group members § ‘The
Truth Project’ video series – Meeting in Calvin Hall, with Karen Edwards as group leader § ‘Paul’s

verse-by-verse Scripture Study Meeting in Westminster Chapel, with David Dobi as facilitator § ‘Made
for His Pleasure’ by Alistair Begg RoundTable meeting in the Conference Room, with Ron Reither as facilitator § ‘Effective
Parenting in a Defective World’ by Chip Ingram – DVD series Meeting
in the Church Nursery area, with leadership from among group members
